The season is reaching its peak now, a time when it’s impossible to choose between an embarrassment of riches on the festival scene. Nevertheless, Family Festivals are checking out three events this weekend:
Big Chill - Lucy and her daughter are heading to Eastnor Castle with in Herefordshire to experience what will hopefully be a warm Chill, featuring M.I.A, Massive Attack and Lily Allen plus bump. Tickets are still being advertised (Thursday night).
Wickham – Andrea and her brood are checking out Hampshire’s rootsy boutique gem, with the Levellers, Kid Creole and the Coconuts, the Undertones and our favourite hangout the Groovy Movie solar cinema tent. If you fancy checking out Wickham for a day without breaking the bank, £10 day tickets are available (free for kids) but this won’t get you into the main music tent. You can still get full tickets on the gate though.
Endorse It In Dorset - Sharon, Jon and the boys will be giving EIID another go after the monsoon weather two years ago when their van had to be towed offsite by a tractor. They’re hoping for sunshine and some headbanging sounds from the likes of the Damned and Subhumans. The event is almost sold out but organisers assure us there will be day and weekend tickets on sale at the gate.
The weather forecast for all three locations is currently showery with sunny intervals, for most of the weekend although Sunday’s looking better. Checkout the reviews next week!
- Are you off elsewhere this weekend? We are alway on the lookout for reviews and pictures of family-friendly festivals throughout the UK. Why not drop us a line?
